William W. Welcome (Bill) Born 06/18/1937 died 01/29/2024 at the age of 86. William married Dianne Blanchard on September 18, 1988, and produced a wonderful family. He is survived by his wife, Dianne, stepdaughter, Heather Parker (Husband Shaun Parker) grandson Jordan Parker (wife Olivia) Great-Grandsons, Indy, Jax, Cruz, and Great Graddaughter Rio. Grandson Jonah Parker (wife Alyssa) Great Grandson Benjamin; and Grandson Gavin Parker. Bill was born in Amherst, MA. He graduated from high school in 1955 and attended the University of MA in 1956. At that time, he joined the USAF Aviation Cadet program and became an officer and navigator aboard a KC-97 air refueling aircraft. Bill was discharged in 1960. Bill worked in heavy construction, built subways in NY, worked on the Alaska Pipeline, Glen Canyon Dam in AZ, and Hoover Dam in Boulder City, NV. After retiring Bill started a handyman business and was busy helping others. He loved helping family and friends. Bill and Dianne loved to travel and visited Hawaii, Mexico, the Panama Canal, the Caribbean, Canada, Alaska, and Europe. In 1986 he became a Master Mason and went on to become Master of Boulder City Lodge and the Laughlin Lodge. He became a 32nd-degree Scottish Rite Mason in 1993. Bill was a faithful, loving member of Faith Christian Church. He was a charter member and served the church as vice president, president, and trustee. Bill was blessed and loved by his family and many friends in his life. Services will be held at Faith Christian Church, 1100 Buchanan blvd, Boulder City, NV 89005 on April 6, 2024, at 3 PM.
