Toni Stephens Obituary

TONI LEE STEPHENS

Toni Lee Stephens, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024, in Henderson, Nevada. Born on February 17, 1947, in Long Beach, California, Toni lived a life marked by joy, service, and adventure. Toni dedicated 30 years to her work as a Biologist with the Nevada Department of Wildlife, where she played a crucial role in preserving the fish and wildlife habitats at Lake Mead. Her passion for the area was something that she loved to share with others. Her eagerness to continue to learn made her an invaluable member of the group. She was always looking for ways to conserve the Lake's surrounding environment for others to enjoy. An active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Toni's spirituality was evident in every aspect of her life. She found deep fulfillment in serving as a temple worker at the Las Vegas Temple and cherished the connections she made within her church community. Toni also devoted 43 years to US Figure Skating as a judge, sharing her keen eye and love for the sport with countless athletes. Her commitment, grace, and infectious laughter made her an enduring presence at the many skating events that she participated in. Known for her adventurous spirit, Toni was always eager to try something new and lived life with boundless enthusiasm. Her curious nature and creative talents made her a force of energy and inspiration to all who knew her. She was a supportive mother and grandmother, always willing to lend a helping hand, share a hearty laugh, or offer a word of encouragement. Her love for her family was unending and unconditional, and she made every moment with them count. Toni is survived by her two children, Carrie Hopkins and Jason Stephens; loving daughter-in-law, Shea Stephens; and treasured grandchildren, Lindi Hopkins and Ryder Stephens. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, kindness, and selfless service. Her laughter, vibrant spirit, and uncanny knack for finding the best sales will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Toni's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her adventurous heart and joyous outlook on life will continue to inspire those she loved. May her memory remind us to cherish every adventure, love deeply, and find wonder in all things. Details for the celebration of life will be forthcoming. It will be a party like no other.
