Boulder City, NV - Thorald William Schleppegrell (Terry), passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 14, 2026.

Terry was born on April 30, 1953, in Princeton, Minnesota, to Beverly Joanne (Carlson) Schleppegrell and John Daniel Schleppegrell. He attended Lathrop High School, graduating from Forest Lake High School (Minnesota) Class of 1971.

Terry served in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged at the age of 20, and received the National Defense Service Medal for his service.

Terry worked his entire career in the grocery business. Over the years, he worked at Carrs/Safeway in Anchorage and later at VONS/Safeway in Boulder City, Nevada.

Outside of work, Terry earned a Life Master Certificate from the American Contract Bridge League in 1978. He was also an avid sports fan.

Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Schleppegrell (2025); Father John Schleppegrell (2019); Mother Beverly Staskanis (2012) and Stepfather Frank Staskanis (1999).

Terry is survived by his son, Jackson Schleppegrell, born on April 12, 1989, in Anchorage, Alaska, living in South Korea, and by his sisters Linda Schleppegrell [Fairbanks, AK], Karen Schleppegrell Pellouchoud (Dan) [Boulder City, NV], and Tammy Schleppegrell [Las Vegas, NV]. Nephew Dane and Noelle Beebe (Henderson); Nieces Paige Pellouchoud (Tempe AZ); Megan Pellouchoud (South Korea); Amy Pellouchoud (Toluca Lake CA) and great niece Hannah Beebe carrying the family traditions two more generations into the future.

Terry's Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm on Friday May 1, 2026, in the Chapel at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV. Friends and family are gathering after the service at Dan and Karen Pellouchoud's house, 385 Cats Eye Drive, Boulder City.
