Prescott, AZ - MAURICE L. LAUGHERY

Maurice L. Laughery, 90, passed away November 15, 2025, at Evergreen Village in Prescott AZ. Maury was born January 6, 1935, in Boulder City NV to David Maurice and Nadean Holcomb Laughery. He was raised in Boulder City, NV, a 1953 graduate of Boulder City High School and a member of the Jaycees. He was a hunter and fisherman, enjoying camping and other outdoor activities. He was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Known for his quick wit and "orneriness" he leaves behind family and friends who will miss him greatly. He is survived by 2 daughters, Judi (David) Hollis of Hamburg AR and Nancy (Lou) Olague of Prescott AZ. He leaves 17 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, spouses Nancy Hamilton (1978) and Colleen Hodges (2007), brother Dwayne Sinclair Laughery, sister Arlyn Mobley, 2 sons David Dwayne and Jeffrey Troy, daughter Karen McDade and granddaughter Desiree Shotwell. A graveside ceremony will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver UT in the spring of 2026, to be announced in the future. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a charity near and dear to his heart.
