MAUDIE LEE WOHLBRANDT

Maudie Lee Wohlbrandt, age 89, of Boulder City, NV, passed away on March 11, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV. She was born on April 27, 1935 in Hardin, MT to James Earl Epperson and Florence Agnes Rollins Epperson. She was proud to have grown up in Montana and often spoke of her Yellowstone and Gardiner days. She married Glen "Bud" Eugene Wohlbrandt on August 23, 1953 in Gardiner, MT. They moved to Boulder City in 1964 from Gardiner. They had three children together – Steven, who passed shortly after birth, Bryan, and Bekki. They raised their children in Boulder City and enjoyed many memories together at Lake Mead. Glen passed in 1992 and she married Robert "Bob" Douglas in April 2003. Maudie was a resilient and vivacious woman. She left an impression on anyone she met. She was proud to be an active member in the Boulder City Community. She enjoyed gardening and was part of the "Hoe & Grow Garden Club". She had many talents and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and macrame to name a few. She volunteered many hours at numerous places including the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce and a valiant member of the Cellular Citizens on Patrol (CCOP). She loved to make friends and visit with people; she played bridge for many years and enjoyed her last few years while living at Lake View Terrace being involved with the activities. One of her proudest roles was being a "Nana." She had four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and was often referred to as Nana to many. Maudie is survived by a daughter Bekki (Robert) Reese; a brother James Earl Epperson Jr.; a sister Shirley Rae McLaren; four grandchildren Jennifer (Michael) Hiler, Roger (Michelle) Reese, Amanda (Jason) Harries, Rachel (Brock) Reesberg; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen Wohlbrandt, son Bryan Wohlbrandt, late husband Robert Douglas, and sister Ella Mae Relford. A celebration of life will be held at Grace Community Church, 1150 Wyoming St. Boulder City, NV on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the service.
