Extreme sports fascinated him, and he would enjoy watching and keeping up with his favorite participants, as well as sharing sporting events with his friends. Joey had a great memory and could share facts and information that he had learned by himself through audio sources. Music was something he enjoyed at every moment; at one time he wrote a paper that he was very proud of that expressed how music was a means of therapy that would benefit the recipient. He was a very compassionate man and made sure those around him and sometimes complete strangers were taken care of.
