Boulder City, NV. Floyd V. Lindeberg, 95, passed away on March 7, 2025 at his home in Boulder City. He had suffered recent age related health issues. Floyd was born in Miles City, MT to Lillian Sutherland and Nels Lindeberg. He was married to his loving wife of 67 years, Doris Carlson Lindeberg, at United Methodist Church in Bozeman, MT on June 15,1957.
Floyd was born on Nov 21,1929. His roots were in the country having been raised on the family cattle ranch in Eastern Montana. His time was spent between the ranch and Miles City during the school terms. He proudly served in the US Air Force on bases in Fairbanks, AK and Tucson, AZ. With his assigned duty as a weatherman, Floyd developed a keen interest in weather related events.The GI Bill allowed for a college education at MSU in Bozeman, MT. Having majored in accounting and finance, Floyd was employed professionally with the Bureau of Reclamation. His career began in Ephrata, WA in 1959 followed by a move to Boulder City, NV in 1963. Post retirement, Floyd continued working for the US Park Service at the Lake Mead Visitors Center. He enjoyed spending his days conversing with guests and sharing his vast knowledge of the Lower Colorado River Basin.
Floyd's pleasures centered around his home and family, his greatest source of pride. With his young children helping and tasting, he was delighted to prepare homemade ice cream. This was the staple for every summer party. Floyd was involved with Grace Community church and participated in several local organizations over the years. He was a willing and able volunteer helping out whenever needed. Floyd found it quite satisfying to keep the books for many small Boulder City businesses. He and Doris travelled extensively enjoying cruises and timeshare destinations. In his later years, Floyd relished his daily visits to the Senior Center. He loved reading and studying history. Floyd had a wry sense of humor, loving laughter and telling stories of his early days. Throughout his life and uppermost on Floyd's enjoyment list was cherished time with his kids and later his grandkids. His favorite pastime has always been playing with and caring for his cats. Sandy Cat was the first of many over the years. Floyd's adored surviving cats are PeeWee and KitiKat. Many people and animals alike were touched by his life. He will be remembered as a kind hearted man always striving to do right by those he cared about in his life and community.
Floyd is survived by his wife Doris. Daughters: Lori (Robert) Aberg of Grafton, MA; Shari (Kevin) Bonnet of Costa Mesa, CA; Kristi (Ed) Pluta of Boulder City, NV. Grandchildren: Nicholas Aberg of Millbury, MA; Danielle Bonnet of Los Angeles, CA; Blake Bonnet of Westminster, CA. He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew with whom he maintained close relationships: Linda Carlson of Billings, MT; Randy Carlson of Las Vegas, NV; Beverly Carlson-Bradshaw of Cave Creek, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Thursday, April 24 at 11:30am at Grace Community Church, 1150 Wyoming St. Boulder City, NV. Interment will follow at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery,1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV at 2:00pm.
