Darren Lewis Paxton ((Alaska)) Obituary

Soldotna, Alaska - Darren Lewis Paxton, 55, passed away on March 6, 2026, after battling cancer. He was born on March 4, 1971, in Lakeside, Arizona, to Doug and Phyllis Paxton. Darren grew up in Soldotna, Alaska and had many travel adventures throughout his lifetime.

Darren was known for his friendly nature and never met a stranger. He had a gift for connecting with people and made everyone feel welcome in his presence. As a chef by trade, he took pride in his work and brought joy to others through his cooking.

Outside of his profession, Darren loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, spending time in nature, and, most of all, visiting with friends and family. His warmth, laughter, and spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Darren particularly enjoyed following his favorite sports team, the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his wife, Sherina; his children, Riley, Ted, and Jacob; his stepchildren, Sunnie, Josh and Jacob; grandchildren Ryder, Audrie and Greyson; his mother, Phyllis; and his siblings, Ed, Shellie, and Todd. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews.

Darren was preceded in death by his father, Doug Paxton.

At Darren's request, there will be no services.

Darren was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.
