CAROLE ADELE HAMILTON

Carole Adele Hamilton died peacefully in her sleep on November 1, 2023 at the age of 90 in Henderson, Nevada. She was born in Michigan March 8, 1933. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Macauley, stepdaughter Kathleen Luke, niece Janet Carpenter, nephew Brian Carpenter, nephew David Hamilton, nephew John Hamilton, and several grandchildren. Carole is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hamilton, son John Hamilton, stepson Roderick Hamilton, brother Tom Carpenter, and parents, Roy and Celeste Carpenter. Carole went to nursing school in Joilet, IL and graduated in the mid-1950s. Her first job was for Western Airlines as a stewardess, which required nursing training at that time. She continued her nursing career in Southern California and retired in Bishop, CA. After retiring Carole and husband Dick lived in various mountain communities in California, Nevada, and Colorado. They eventually settled in as "snowbirds" between Boulder City, NV and Bishop, CA. Carole always loved the mountains and captured beautiful memories by painting landscapes. For many years Carole was a volunteer for Lend-A-Hand. She also enjoyed playing the piano, photography and was an excellent Scrabble player well into her 80s. A graveside service is being planned for May 21, 2024 at 10:00 am at the East Line Street Cemetery in Bishop, CA.
