CARL ALBERT MURPHEY-FRAMKE
1938 – 2024
Carl Albert Murphey-Framke went peacefully to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 26, 2024. Carl was born September 14, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan. Following graduation from Edward Derby High School in Detroit he graduated from Harvard University. He continued his studies at the Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, IL for one year and decided to complete his Master's Degree at Ohio State University. Carl then joined IBM and for over twenty years was their US and European Representative. His career took him next to Universal Electronics, a remote technology company where he was their European Representative. Carl traveled, lived aboard, spoke three languages, piloted his own plane, was captain of his boat, loved golf and trains, collected model railroad trains, and loved visiting railroad museums during his travels. Carl was not looking for the accolades of the world but what became more important to him was the life he lived after he really found the Lord. He lived his life in a way to bring others to the knowledge and power of the Lord. While going through challenges and physical difficulties himself, he continued to bless others through teaching Bible studies and prayer. Even though possessing an amazing intellect, Carl could connect with those who were home-bound by delivering meals through the Senior Center and participating in outings for long term care patients at Boulder City Hospital. He did not give up, he wanted others to know the power and presence of Jesus in their lives. Carl had a wonderful personality and sense of humor, a beautiful smile, and a great voice which he used to sing glory to his Savior. We know he is singing to his Lord in heaven. He leaves his wife, five children, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two cousins, a niece, and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister. Carl lived in Boulder City for the last nineteen years, with the past three being a full-time resident. Prior years were spent between his Ohio home and Boulder City. Carl and his wife chose Boulder City for their retirement home after touring the country for three years to select the perfect place to retire. Because of Carl's love for teaching about Jesus Christ, a "Carl Murphey-Framke" account has been established at Grace Community Church in Boulder City. The funds from this account will be used to teach young children about Jesus Christ at Grace Christian Academy and the church. Should you wish to donate in memory of Carl, please make your check out to "Grace Community Church" and note that this is "in Memory of Carl Murphey-Framke." Send contributions to Grace Community Church, 1150 Wyoming St., Boulder City, NV 89005. A Praise Service will be held at Carl's home in Boulder City on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. This will be in honor of Carl but also a fun time to thank God for Carl's life, it will be held at the time Carl always taught his Bible Study. II Timothy 4:6-7: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." May God Bless each of you.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
