BRENDA JOY EWERS

Brenda Joy Ewers, born July 18, 1950, in Seward, AK, passed away peacefully, at age 75, on March 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a life defined by compassion, service, and deep devotion to those around her. Brenda is survived by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Max Scott Ewers, her constant partner in life and love. She was a proud and loving mother to Heather Barrentine, Chad Hudson, and Sonya Hackett. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Hannah and Rylan, Lenoxx and Quinn; and great-grandchildren; Westley and Luca, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride. After graduating from Kern Valley High School in Lake Isabella, CA, she obtained a Master's Degree of Nursing from the University of California at Santa Barbara. After meeting her husband, Scott, while living in Kernville, CA, they moved to Flagstaff, AZ, and spent 20 years raising her family and working as a Registered Nurse. After that, they spent 5 years in Henderson, NV, retiring in 2005, and moving to her final destination in Boulder City, NV. In retirement, Brenda volunteered at the Boulder City Hospital Gift Shop and the Senior Center as its Nurse for many years. She was a published author of numerous children's books, sharing her creativity and love of storytelling with young readers. Brenda was a devoted member of the Faith Christian Church, where her faith in God was the guiding light in her life. She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, strength, and unwavering love of family. Her life was one of purpose, kindness, grace, and her legacy will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her. Brenda will be deeply missed and forever loved.
