ANDREW T. GILES

Andrew T. Giles, 42, Boulder City, NV unexpectedly passed away on April 20, 2026. He was born 5/22/1983 in Arlington Heights, Illinois to loving parents Kristine and Tyler Giles. Andy grew up in Illinois, but Boulder City has been his home since 2015. Andy was a kind soul who had a contagious smile. Andy loved life, his mama, family, dogs, friends and the Cubs with his whole heart. Andy loved life so much he gave the gift of life through the Nevada Donor Network.

He was the father Idella needed. He never missed a game or even a practice. He was legit the best dad ever, although he wasn't required to be. He was a good dad to her. Andy's favorite color was baby blue. His two favorite artists were Papa Roach and Post Malone. Andy was also the best furry dog dad, too. He would cross the street to pet a dog. Andy loved dogs. He could name every dog in Boulder City, although he could only name 25% of their owner's names. He knew all the dog's names!

Andy knew your dog from working his route as one of our town's Garbage Men. He was proud to drive the garbage truck and loved it. While his family waits for him to be returned to his hometown right outside of Chicago to be closer to his mama and buried in a plot right next to his father, we want to celebrate his life here in Boulder City.

Andy's love of canine creatures is why we are celebrating his life at the Veteran's Park Dog Park next to the Pond on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 6:00 PM. Please come and celebrate his life with us. Bring your pets and share a story about Andy. We have a book you can write a memory about Andy and we will be sending it to his mama. Pup cups will be served to the dogs. While we celebrate his life he can say farewell to all his canine friends, too. Be there or be square.

Andy is survived by his Mother, Kristine Giles; his siblings, Anita Templeman, Steve Giles and Carolyn Giles; and his nephews Axel and Owen Templeman. A Go Fund Me has been set up to help with final expenses.
